Rev. Dr. Georgeann Tyler Pringle

Rev. Dr. Georgeann Tyler Pringle answered her call to ministry 25 years ago. In her second year of studies with the Board of Examiners, Dr. William Smith, Dean and the board presented her at the South Carolina Annual Conference, to receive her deacon and elder orders under Bishop Henry A. Belin, Sr.  Dr. Pringle has pastored in the Central Conference and the Northeast Conference. She has also been a member of the Board of Examiners in the South Carolina, Northeast, and Central Conferences and a Dean in the Northeast and Central Conferences.  She was the first female pastor in her two previous charges, a significant milestone in her career, and the first female pastor of Good Hope AME Church, Cope, South Carolina, a historic achievement in the church's history.

Dr. Pringle's academic prowess is evident in her extensive qualifications. She holds two Master’s Degrees: an MBA from the Citadel Military College of South Carolina and a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry Degree (with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Leadership) from Erskine Theological Seminary.  Dr. Pringle was an adjunct professor at Strayer University for seven years, teaching courses in Religion, Humanities, and Business.  She retired from The Citadel Military College after twenty-five years of service, during which she served in administrative/supervisory and management positions.  She also served on the Department of Business Administration's Executive Board and was key in developing their Business and technology center.

Dr. Pringle is active in her local community and the community she serves.  She has been on the Volvo Community Action Board since Volvo’s inception in her local community, where she is the liaison between Volvo and the Pringletown community, serving as Chairperson.  She was blessed to say the prayer at Volvo’s grand opening.  She is also the Chairperson for the Pringletown Community Inc., a non-profit organization committed to enhancing economic opportunity, building a strong neighborhood, and ensuring a dynamic framework for quality growth and development.    She is a member of Orangeburg CAG (Community Action Group), A Center for Palliative and Supportive Care.  Dr. Pringle is a proud Gamma Zeta Phi Beta, Charleston Chapter member.

She has been blessed with opportunities to preach throughout South Carolina, Florida, and Ohio. She has preached at the mid-year convocation under Bishop Williams and recently was the Lay night preacher at the Central South Carolina Conference Annual Conference, thanks to Bishop James L. Davis.  Dr. Pringle is a witness to the saying, “There is no Secret What God Can Do!”  Her Motto is, “No weapon formed against her shall prosper.” THIS IS HER STORY TO BE CONTINUED …………………
