Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

Reverend Dr. Bettye Walker Broomfield
Rev. Dr. Bettye Walker- Broomfield is a native of Summerville, South Carolina. Born from the seed of Mr. and Mrs. Albert, (Aris) Walker as their eighth child. She graduated from the Dorchester County District Two schools. After graduation she married and has two beautiful children, Robert II and Cantiel. She graduated from Allen University and Payne Theological Seminary.
Her journey has been very transformative in leadership. Throughout African Methodism the ministry has been divine and successive. Rev. Dr. Broomfield served in the Beaufort District for twenty plus years and now in the Kingstree District for seven years. She has served and cared for five churches, currently at St. Paul AME Church North Charleston which is dear to her heart.

She worked as a Chaplain at HCA, (Trident and Summerville Medical Hospital) for thirty years, being hired as the first African American minister in 1992. She is now employed with Agape Care Group, Charleston Branch. Rev. Dr. Broomfield has embraced her ministries with leadership strength that has conquered all myths of impractical worth of acceptance to preach and teach the Gospel. She has been serving the 7th Episcopal District Board of Examiners for several years. She is a member of the Zeta Phi Beta, Inc. sorority, serving in the Gamma Zeta Chapter of Charleston SC. Chaplaincy seems to follow her, as she serves on the Interfaith Regional Chaplains of Zeta Phi Beta Inc.

The Rev. Dr. Bettye Walker Broomfield is happy and loves God dearly.
