Rev. Thomas has a long history of working in the health field as an LPN, RN and with Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC. She currently serves on the Georgetown County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs.
Her work in the church began early, singing and serving in multiple capacities in the church before answering the call to ministry. Rev. Thomas started singing for the Lord and has been ministering in this capacity for many, many years and is well-known for her powerful renderings of hymns and worship songs. Her assignments to supply the churches has been challenging and difficult at times as often there were few or no members in the pews. However, this did not stop her from pursuing new members or doing whatever was necessary to maintain and improve the life of the churches she served.
Rev. Thomas has also had to face the adversity of sickness, surgeries and the death of multiple loved ones including her husband and her only daughter. Nevertheless, Rev. Thomas has a heartfelt desire to please God, to help people, to be the woman God can trust to lead others to Christ, to witness and preach the word of God. Her life living exemplifies the character and qualities that make her a woman of distinction that honors the memory of the Rev. Jarena Lee.
