Reverend Theodora Constance Simpson Wilson

The Reverend Theodora Constance Simpson Wilson is a native of Orangeburg County in South Carolina.  Constance, as she was lovingly called by her parents and those who know her well, is the eldest of three children and only daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Theodore (Virginia) Simpson.  She was married to Floyd Carnell Wilson of Eastover, South Carolina and they shared eleven blessed years together until his untimely transition in January 2012.  Reverend Wilson is a 1984 graduate of Edisto High School in Cordova, South Carolina, a 1990 Graduate of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College in Orangeburg, South Carolina and has completed 96 credit hours in the Certificate in Theology Program from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Ga.

Reverend Wilson has been employed with Cooperative Health Centers in Columbia, South Carolina, for the past eighteen years, where her current title is Laboratory Coordinator.  She is proud to proclaim her career as a healthcare professional for thirty-three years and finds her profession to be extremely rewarding.

During the 98th Session of the Central SC Annual Conference, Reverend Wilson received her final ordination as a Local Elder for Emmanel AME Church in Cope SC.  She serves faithfully in many ministry capacities to include Church School Superintendent, Choir Director and since June 2019, she has led a weekly Wednesday Prayer Call with the Women In Ministry of the Central Conference.  Most recently, during December 2023, with the assistance of her local church and the Midlands District Women in Ministry, she collected 2,045 pairs of socks for women and children in local shelters and foster care homes in Richland County. 

Reverend Wilson is very passionate about her service to humankind and feels that this is what she has been called to do; to serve the needs of others.
