Reverend Dr. Elaine J. Eskew
Eskew graduated from Lexington High school in 1969. In 1973 she graduated from Benedict College. Rev. Dr. Elaine J. Eskew had a love for people that she carried to her over a 30-year career at the SC Department of Social Services Child Protective Services.

Rev. Dr. Elaine J. Eskew is married to Mr. John H. Eskew. To their union, they have two daughters, Rev. Kayla Eskew and Mrs. Patera Eskew-Martin (Toby). She is the loving grandmother of six (6) grandchildren, Alyssa Batten, Jonathan, Erin, Jeremiah, Emma-Rose Martin, and Zion Geiger.

Rev. Dr. Elaine J. Eskew began her spiritual journey at St. Paul Baptist Church in Lexington, SC. After marrying her husband, John Eskew, Rev. Dr. Eskew joined St. Paul AME, Irmo. At that time she began to study the word of God with zeal. Her hunger for the word of God had her participating in Community and church ministries that prepared her a higher calling. Rev. Dr. Eskew answered her call into ministry and began to further her education at Lutheran Theological Seminary. There she earned a Master of Religion in 2004 and a DMin. from Wesleyan Seminary in 2014. Between those educational milestones in 2008, she became a Board Certified Chaplain.

Rev. Dr. Elaine J. Eskew has served on the Board of Examiners, teaching the 4th year studies and as registrar. During which time she taught, mentored, and encouraged new persons called into, itinerate, local and evangelical ministries. Rev. Dr. Eskew has been a long time member of the WIM.
​
Rev. Dr. Elaine J. Eskew is called, anointed, and prepared for ministry, for these reasons she is being nominated for the Jarena Lee Award. Rev. Dr. Elaine J. Eskew will always go the extra mile to serve God and be a blessing to the people of God. If she can't help you, she will not hurt you.
