An avid student Rev. Gerow believes learning is a lifelong process which led her to further studies at Miami Dade Junior College (Miami, Florida) and the University of South Carolina Sumter Campus.

Rev. Gerow accepted her call to serve in the ordained ministry of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 1989. Her former pastoral assignments include Shiloh AME Church (Foreston), Bethel AME Church (Manning) and Cypress Fork AME Church (Alcolu).

When not supplying local churches, Rev. Gerow is an active AME serving at all levels.  These include: local church YPD Director, Manning Area WMS Chairperson, local church Lay Organization President, Central Conference Lay Organization Director of Lay Activities, Manning District Director of Lay Activities, Central Conference WIM Financial Secretary, and Central Conference WIM Treasurer.

Currently, she serves as an Associate Minister at Historic Trinity, local church WMS PME Director, and Manning District WIM Coordinator.  Rev. A meek spirit with a positive outlook on life, Rev. Gerow’s favorite scripture is Psalm 27:14, “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait I say on the Lord.”
