Reverend Dr. Sherry S. Highbaugh is a lifelong AME church member and currently the pastor of Mt. Moriah AME Church in Prosperity SC.  She serves in the Newberry District Women in Ministry as the outreach coordinator.

Reverend Dr. Highbaugh is a graduate of Irmo High School, received her bachelor’s degree in religion from Allen University and a Masters of Divinity degree from Columbia International University.  She also holds a PhD in Theology from Northwestern University.  Reverend Dr. Highbaugh is a US Navy veteran and is married to Riss Highbaugh.

Professionally, she currently is a Clinical Chaplain 11 at the SC Department of Juvenile Justice, a position she has held for thirteen years, meeting the spiritual and clinical needs of incarcerated youth.

Rev. Dr. Highbaugh states that she loves working on her job, at the church and in the community.  She loves the Lord and working with children and being a servant leader.
